Performance optimization of envelope and air conditioning system in telecommunication base station

An air conditioning system consumes 40% of the total energy in telecommunication base station (TBS), and it is very important to reduce energy consumption of the air conditioning system for improving the COP of total TBS. According to present TBS energy saving methods, simulates the annual TBS energy consumption with DeST software, and puts forward some TBS energy saving measures and suggestions for selection of envelope and performance improving of the air conditioning system. Concludes that the heat insulation level of envelope should be determined according to the geographical position and heat producing strength of TBS, shading and roof ventilation has little impact on the energy efficient improving of the air conditioning system, and heat pipe heat exchangers can greatly reduce the energy consumption of air conditioning system.
